This weekend’s shootings at a Pittsburgh synagogue only reinforce what I write about in my upcoming book, Exposing Hate: Prejudice, Hatred and Violence in Action. Hate has always been with us, but after the election of Donald Trump, there has been an upsurge in hate groups, hate speech, and hate crimes in all forms. My book examines the history of hate in America, what’s happening today, and what we can do to combat hatred in our society. It’s a book for teen and young adult readers, available on January 1st, 2019, from the Twenty First Century Books imprint of Lerner Publishing. I think it’s an important book, given the times we live in.
